Achievements
Since the formation of the club 7 years ago, among the remarkable achievements are:
1. Lai Chan Yet, Silver Medalist, Kumite Category, Asia Pacific Shito Ryu Karate Do Championship 2005
2. Md. Abo Bakar, Kumite Category Gold National Rakan Wajadiri Championship 2008
3. Md Rafi , Kumite Broze Category National Rakan Wajadiri Championship 2008
Besides that, some of our members did selected and competed for the National Junior and Cadet Karate-Do Championship, 2008 in Ipoh Perak, and National Senior Championship held in Johor Bahru 2008.
Introduction
UTP Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Club was established in the year 2003 and affiliated under the Malaysian Association of Shito-Ryu Karate-Do (MASK), the umbrella for the nation's Shito-Ryu/Shito-Kai Karate-Do organizations.
Objectives
- To provides and to train the members of the club the knowledge of self defense
- To contribute in providing a platform of individual mental and spiritual development through the traditional and scientific teaching of karate-do
- To promotes and encourage healthy lifestyle among the students.
- To creates high discipline individual by promoting the practice of good morality as been taught by the "Dojo Kun" or the main principles of Karate-Do.
